Webmaster HTML Improvements
Hi ,
1st post here!
what would be an acceptable amount of duplicate title tags (I have 400) and meta descriptions (I have 300)?
I have
Also, a lot of the results are due to a second url for print option , is there a way to eliminate the print option ?
One other question, my url's have en/(short for English) , if I removed this would my search engine results suffer badly?

Re: Webmaster HTML Improvements
1) Is this a Multi Language Site?
If not, you have mistakenly enabled the Language Filter Plugin.
2) Login to Google Webmaster Tools and declare the print parameter as not altering content. Google will then understand and not mark it as a duplicate.

Re: Webmaster HTML Improvements
thanks
No its not a multi language site. If I go ahead and did-able the plug-in what effect will it have on my url's? Ideally I want the en/ removed from url's ,but would this have the effect of my url's being treated as new ones again?
I looked in webmaster tools but I don't see where to declare print parameter as not altering, I don't have full access maby that's why?

It's the Plugin that makes the Language Code in the URL. Before you enable the plugin, your site must first be properly set-up as a Multi Language Site.

So much duplicate content title & description isn't good, solve it or you may get hit by Panda

Re: Webmaster HTML Improvements
found the option in webmaster to block print parameter. I'd say its the cause of most of the duplicate content, its a must do then for every joomla website.
any idea what effect disabling the language option will have with seo? The site is in operation about a year.
I have lots of changes to make to meta title's and some menu structures so probably a good time to remove the en/

Re: Webmaster HTML Improvements
Do a 301 redirect in .htaccess to the same path without the "en".

Try disallowing those URLs in robots.txt file
