Duplicate content in 3,7

I have duplicate articles at
domain.com/m/category/article.html and domain.com/category/article.html
Both pages contain canonical tags pointing to thyemselves.
This counts as duplicate content. and I want to remove the 1st link. How do I do this:

Yes it count as a duplicate content. MY suggestion is, do not remove first link, redirects it to second URL of a website.

Too many urls too redirect indidually, and more are made every time I write an article.
I beed a rule for .htaccess

To remove urls that you do not want to display, visit the webmaster tool and find the url removal tool and remove the request

The best way to get rid of it to change content of the pages and use different content separately
The second way is to redirect it

But you still have the same content everywhere at your web site. Just add /852-the-endoscope.html to any page and see you will be viewing an article about the endoscope.
For example:
https://astarmathsandphysics.com/maths- ... scope.html
https://astarmathsandphysics.com/ib-mat ... scope.html
https://astarmathsandphysics.com/physic ... scope.html
etc

sooner or later Google will be discovering new duplicate content on your web site.
So, I am really interested how to REMOVE ALL duplicates and not just redirect some of them.

Yes Same problem for me.
But I am sure Google know that and arrive to choose one of the good url of the same content. It should just take a little more time and probably givea small disadvantage!
On this post viewtopic.php?t=955720 "Hackwar" suggest to "Use Joomla 3.8 and enable "experimental" routing in the integration tab of the article component." Did you try it?

You can solve this issue by Canonical tag. You have set one common parent page in canonical tag for all paginations.
