Trying to enable Use URL Rewriting to remove Index.php, no success. Tried everything.

Check rewrite is working correctly https://docs.joomla.org/Enabling_Search ... (SEF)_URLs if it is then you may need uncomment #RewriteBase /

Ended up just being an error on the user's part on which directory they told me the website was in lol. It was a test (staging) version of the live one they were looking at.
