Login page cause long urls

I'm getting an SEO report of URLs that are too long. The cause is the '?return=(encrypted info)' querystring being added.

Is there a way around this so the information is passed without creating a url that is too long for SEO?

It doesn't matter as no Search robot will ever login to your site.
