SERPS website name

Hello and thank you.

My site name has a pipe (|) in the middle of the title. "BrokerMortgages.com | Unconventional Mortgages"

However, within the Google search engine results, it appears with a ":" where the "|" should be. How can I fix that??

It does appear correct in Bing and Yahoo though:

Google - BrokerMortgages.com : Unconventional Mortgages

Bing - BrokerMortgages.com | Unconventional Mortgages

Yahoo - BrokerMortgages.com | Unconventional Mortgages

First of all, check your all inner pages it may be you can found "BrokerMortgages.com | Unconventional Mortgages" that's why it showing.

Hello,

My site name is:

BrokerMortgages_com | Unconventional Mortgages

My home page title the way it appears in Google search is:

Unconventional Mortgages: BrokerMortgages_com

Yahoo and Aol:

Unconventional Mortgages | BrokerMortgages_com

Google search results used to appear the way it does on Yahoo and Aol, with the Pipe in the middle.

How can I get the pipe back for Google search?? Thank you Very Much.

I've checked your site and it looks like you have the title set correctly.

Google may pick up on this the next time the site is indexed, or it may not. You could use Search Console to re-index the page, but you don't always have full control over what Google chooses to display.

I understand the title is set correctly. But the problem remains.

Hi David,

All you can really do is ask Google to re-crawl the URL. You can try the methods at https://support.google.com/webmasters/a ... 5812?hl=en for this.

wait for some time. On the next crawl, google will update it. At present, it is showing the older version.
