That was something the user copied and pasted from an irrelevant website and that's why the user received a forum warning for plagiarism.

The URL you provided as an example generates a stack trace, showing which files and functions in Joomla precede the error "Error decoding JSON data: unexpected end of data"

The last three entries of the trace from the bottom are the first functions executed in Joomla after the URL was requested:

#12 /var/www/html/libraries/cms/application/site.php(230): JApplicationSite->dispatch()
#13 /var/www/html/libraries/cms/application/cms.php(265): JApplicationSite->doExecute()
#14 /var/www/html/index.php(49): JApplicationCms->execute() #15 {main}

The reference #13 points to a file called cms.php in the folder libraries/cms/application but such a folder does not exist in the latest version of Joomla, 3.8.13. In fact, this folder was removed when Joomla 3.8.0 was released or earlier. Are you are still running Joomla 3.7?

A number of important security updates were released in the past 12 months, which means that your site is vulnerable. Those updates may also address past issues in RSS feeds. How do you generate the RSS feed, where the incorrect URLs come from?

Can you please post the results from the Forum Post Assistant (FPA) by following the instructions from viewtopic.php?f=714&t=793531 so that others can review the configuration.

When we update our site it goes down. So we have to stay on this version for quite sometime now.

That is usually caused by third party extensions that have not been updated.

You should install a bundle like XAMPP or Wampserver on your workstation, restore a backup from the website as a localhost site, set the error reporting to 'Maximum', run a trial update and then post the error messages here.

Otherwise, feel free to post the results from the FPA, as advised earlier, and some volunteers may be able to point out the out of date extension(s).
