How to avoid too many internal links on page caused by modules

Hi there,

Maybe someone has an idea to help me.

I have a very large website with about 60 categories and thousands of articles. I offer a sub navigation module in the sidebar and a few other modules such as related articles and a few footer links. On average I end up with about 160 internal links on any given page which I imagine slows down crawlers and generally isn't seen as a good SEO practise. Also these links sometimes go to articles that are rather sidetracking such as offering a regional recipe on a post that is about one or other travel destination.
So considering that these links to other internal pages are in modules my question is this:

Is it possible to 'hide' these modules and the links contained in them to crawlers? By doing this I would hope to to decrease the total amount of links on one page showing them to site visitors but not to crawlers.

Example page : https://www.dolcevia.com/nl/italie-reiz ... tot-verona

Thanks for your time, its much appreciated.
Liz

this is just an idea but could you create some module overrides that include "no crawl" code?

Some SEO experts think lots of links is good.I don't think slow crawlers is much of an issue,I could be wrong.

- In terms of internal linking, how many are too many? ... added to the page URL, which is really weird (is this caused by a plugin?) ... I know we also need to reduce our internal links badly, however,
