Hello !

I have fixed my first site in [spam], and now I want to fix my second site in Joomla.

In the [spam] editor there is this choice:
"Hide this page from search engines",
which means that the visitors can see and visit the specific url but this url can not be indexed from Google and other search engines.

Where can I find this setting in Joomla ?

Thanks in advance for you time

Thank you very much for your reply and your time.

Do you know what is the exact difference between "index" and "follow" ?

I ask you because I see 5 options:
a. use global
b. index, follow,
c. no index, follow
d. index, no follow
e. no index, no follow

Thanks a lot for your support

Per Google - https://support.google.com/webmasters/a ... 3710?hl=en

Block search indexing with 'noindex'
You can prevent a page from appearing in Google Search by including a noindex meta tag in the page's HTML code, or by returning a 'noindex' header in the HTTP request. When Googlebot next crawls that page and see the tag or header, Googlebot will drop that page entirely from Google Search results, regardless of whether other sites link to it.

Also - https://support.google.com/webmasters/a ... 9812?hl=en

noindex - Prevents the page from being indexed.
nofollow - Prevents the Googlebot from following links from this page.

There is an option in Webmasters to block the page temporarily. In this option you will get crawled by Google but it won't show until you re-enable it. Go to Webmasters site---> Click Legacy tools & Reports ---> Click on Removals then add you web page link.

If you can access your robots.txt file you can block urls manually.

User-agent: *
Allow: /
Disallow: /404
Disallow: /url-link

Hi, Nicksonjohn has the right answer! You just need to do it through Google Webmaster tools following those steps :D
