redirect issue
Hi,
We manage a site (www.mysiteA.com)
Also bought a company and their site (www.mysiteB.com)
We set a redirect so all links to www.mysiteA.com
Strange thing is in google results www.mysiteB.com is also popping up, with link to www.mysiteA.com.
Is it possible to disable this and only show results for www.mysiteA.com?
Guess this could be set in htaccess or robots.txt?
Hope explained this right as i'm not a hosting expert.
Thanks,
Pas

Re: redirect issue
As far as I know this is already setup.
Weird thing is both domains are in google search results, link to (www.mysiteA.com)
But I don't want any of (www.mysiteB.com) to show up in google, only (www.mysiteA.com)
Regards,
Pas

Re: redirect issue
thanks, how should this be done in my case?
It's not a changed site or page. But a complete domain (name) which should be changed to my domain?
Regards.

Not all web crawlers honour the setting but many including goggle doRobots: (Index, Follow/No index, follow/Index, No follow/No index, no follow). Robots instructions.

Re: redirect issue
Sorry, still don't understand what you try to explain here.
My site is setup right in global config.
It's just the url of the other site that's indexed and displayed in google.
Not sure how but it should all be displayed as my site (www.mysiteA.com).
Regards,
Pas

Re: redirect issue
The Removals tool may be helpful. It helps you to block pages from Google Search results on your own sites. The Removals tool only allows for a six-month temporary removal.
