Wrong Urls in Google SERP
Hello
in Google results the are a lot of wrong pages of my site (www.novaluna.com).
They have url like this:
https://www.novalunaitalia.com/it/12-prodotti/68-roy
but the correct one is
https://www.novalunaitalia.com/it/prodo ... e-best/roy
because the category hierarchy is
-products (category)
--collezione best (sub-category)
---roy (article)
and the menu has exactly the same structure.
Of course in submitted Sitemap there are only the correct urls (https://www.novalunaitalia.com/it/compo ... format=xml)
in Google results the are a lot of wrong pages like this too:
https://www.novalunaitalia.com/it/products/66-queen
where the Url is a mix of Italian (default language) and english...
I'm using Falang for translation categories, contents and menu and all seems clean and correct on that side.
I tried to set redirect for some of these wrong pages using the core Redirects components, but they are really many (hundreds) to do manually.
I don't understand where Google gets them and why I can't remove them from Search Console neither. I get this message:
URL not in property
Request a URL in the currently selected property or jump to another property
Do you have any idea about the cause might be?
Thanks

No, it is on Legacy because the free Falang doesn't support the modern one.Per Yngve Berg wrote: ↑Wed Mar 31, 2021 5:22 pmHave you switched to moderne routing and set Remove ID from URL?

Re: Wrong Urls in Google SERP
I think by using a Joomla SEF URL extension and they will redirect the mistaken links to the correct ones. Also, you can request in Google search console to fix the URLs which already have been indexed.

I can't remove them, in Google Search Console I get:
URL not in property
Request a URL in the currently selected property or jump to another property

Thanks. I will test it better. I just tried and it seems there are a few problems with Falang/Sef management.roshanwebexpert wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 9:08 amDid you try this "extensions.joomla.org/extension/site-management/sef/joomsef/"

Re: Wrong Urls in Google SERP
Using Custom Canonical Url Plugin, I added the correct canonical url to the page (and it is visible in the source), but Google steel show the wrong url: https://www.novalunaitalia.com/it/products/73-sound

Re: Wrong Urls in Google SERP
Use the coverage tuning feature located in the admin console on the Content Sources>Web Crawl>Coverage Tuning page. This will allow the administrator to limit the number of URLs for certain hosts.

Re: Wrong Urls in Google SERP
Because they updated the interface in a way that it now displays the structure of the URL, instead of the URL itself. Such breadcrumbs are much more digestible than raw URLs, so it’s one of many moves towards a better user experience.
