hiddenmenu SEO URL issue Topic is solved

Hello All,

Been away from joomla! for a while, and rather rusty...
I have a page I wish to display only to certain persons, so created a hiddenmenu and linked the article there.
Looking at the resulting URL:
... domainame.com/about/13-backend/10-simtrans
how can I get a rewrite to
... domainame.com/simtrans?

I have the following Global config SEO Settings:
Search Engine Friendly URLs - Yes
Use URL Rewriting - yes
and converted htaccess.txt to .htaccess

What am I missing?

The site referenced in the post is a WordPress site. By any chance the question has been posted in the wrong CMS's forum?

My apologies, since the site is incomplete (no cookie policy, etc.), I didn't give the full name, its preceding part replaced by the ...
So the site is indeed joomla!

Can you please provide the structure of the hidden Menu?

Also, whether the article to be displayed is already a part of another menu?

Menu type: hiddenmenu
Menu name: Protocols
No module associated with hiddenmenu
Menu item: Online work, alias online-work
Article: Simtrans, alias simtrans, not associated with any other menu

Could you please post the image of the menu (with menu items) to get a clear picture of how the menu items in the hiddenmenu are structured?

Whether the SEF URLs are working in other menu items?

. English (en-gb) selected to hide unused joomla menus

I do not notice the menu item that has the alias simtrans. However, I noticed the menu item with the alias online-work. I believe that you are referring to this menu item.

In the menu item About, I notice the following line of text with link.

Access to SimTrans for Client X.

As About is of the type Single Article, edit the article About and in the above line of code, for href, enter just the value online-work within double quotes.
