exclude google bot from 302 redirect to m.mysite.com?

Post by skyfranky » Wed Mar 30, 2022 5:31 am

Hi

I am running a responsive joomla site www.mysite.com, and we develop a new Single page application (IOINC PWA) for mobile m.mysite.com

we need to setup 302 redirect to m.mysite.com for mobile user, but worry losing all the existing joomla SEO in google.

do you know if it is a good idea to exclude google bot from 302 redirect to m.mysite.com so that it will only use seo from Joomla responsive website?

google has instruction for such case, but it is complicated. so we wonder if it is best to exclude google bot from 302 redirect to m.mysite.com

thanks

You sholdn't use a separate domain. Load the PWA Service Worker in your template's index.php

Thanks for the reply. I don't understand what you meant. m.mysite.com is not joomla.
