Error after updating FLEX template

I am running a website (www.thmortier.be) on Joomla 3.10.10 and PHP 7.4.
I updated my Flex template to version 3.9.7 and SP Page Builder to 3.8.7. Since then, my homepage won't load. If I leave error reporting off, I just get a blank homepage with "Error" in the upper left corner. With error reporting on, I get the following warnings and an error:

I've been communicating with the developer of the template, but he's very busy (which I understand).
I have little programming knowledge but I wonder what I can do to solve this problem? I have removed and reinstalled the template (and cleared cache, of course) but to no avail. Switching to Protostar displays the homepage without any problem.

The errors you provided in your question point to (either) an issue with Helix framework, or something related to openbased_dir, which from my quick research is indication of a permissions error (a server configuration issue).

To narrow down the problem can you please run the FPA report (red box, top of screen for the link) and post the report results to this thread.

I noted from the template's change log (assuming this is the template you're using: https://themeforest.net/item/flex-multi ... e/14881156) that it should be compatible with PHP 7.4, PHP 8.x, Joomla 3.10.10+ and Joomla 4.1.x, so that shouldn't be the trouble.

You mentioned you have SP page builder 3.8.7, note JoomShaper have released v3.8.8 this week.

I don't see a completely blank page but get a "Oops! this page doesn't exist" when going to the link you provided. It seems http://www.thmortier.be/ is redirecting to http://www.thmortier.be/index.php/nl/ (Dutch language?) Check your language settings and maybe check your SEF settings too.

If Protostar displays it correctly, then you have narrowed it down to being possibly a problem with the Flex Template.

I would persevere with the developer's support after all that's what you paid for.

Thanks for your assistance! I noticed that SP Page Builder 3.8.8 has become available, but I don't have access to it as I have to wait for the maker of the template to include it in his files.

I also noticed that after a while, instead of displaying the warnings and error, the homepage displays the "0" error page.

I checked my language and SEF settings, but all seems to be ok (haven't changed anything there). I have also tried disabling 3rd party extensions but to no avail.

Thanks for your input. I will have to contact my webhost, as I am indeed not the administrator of the server.

(I have to admit that my knowledge of server systems and programming language is very limited, alas ... Everything worked fine before I updated my template, but then again, updating undoubtedly also means evolving to newer standars ...)

I still wonder if the problem is caused by the configuration of the server or the template itself ...

Apologies for the late reaction, but I still haven't heard back from the template maker. SP Page Builder is already on its most recent version (I'm not taking 4.x into account here).
I guess I'll have to revert to putting back a backup ...

SP Page Builder is included with the Flex template. I did notice that SPPB is now at 3.8.8 but I have no access to that version as I don't have a subscription with Joomshaper itself.

Unfortunately not. Dragan - the maker of the template - is on holiday, he's going to check my website, but in the meantime I'm going back to a backup, I think.

While - of course - it's a pity you get the same error, I'm glad I'm not alone. Strange thing is that you are also getting it on Joomla 4 ... I hope Dragan finds a solution soon, as until now, I only got suggestions about my php-configuration, which doesn't seem to be the problem.

Out of curiosity, I set up a test environment of another site on which I use Flex, and after installing Flex 3.9.7 (Joomla 3.10.11, Flex 3.9.7) I now get these errors on that test site:

I still have the same error. Dragan sent me a newer version of Flex 3.9.7 but to no avail.

Dragan informed me that a new version of Flex ( 3.9.8 ) is coming, which should solve the issue!

Yes I downloaded the lastest version and installed via extensions manager.

Initially i found some info requiring turning off the less to css settings in helix as I was getting a white page with error.

Having done that, with debugging on and development error reporting, i still get the oops page not found and the error Class 'Uri' not found, referencing a number of functions.
