Bootstrap

Post by quiggles » Sun Sep 30, 2012 10:21 am

I'm loving the simplicity of Bootstrap in Joomla 3, but I was wondering whether anyone had written up a document on how to actually use it within the context of Joomla?

Check out this great article. Also, you can read more on the twitter bootstrap site. They have very good documentation.

This is very useful information and the documentation is well organized which will really help in building my own themes that support the twitter bootstrap.

Thank you very much for this link.

Really easy to understand for the first time in Twitter Bootstrap Framework, I was really interested in that article about how to make a Joomla template from scratch with Bootstrap.

I am working on a Joomla 3 template that uses Bootstrap Version 2.2.2 but I can't seem to get the dropdown menu's working. They display but don't drop:) I have tried adding this to the index.php but there must be a way of doing it without declaring the item.

<script type="text/javascript">
(function($){
$(document).ready(function(){
$('.dropdown-toggle').dropdown();
// dropdown
$('.item-108').addClass('dropdown');
$('.item-108 > a').addClass('dropdown-toggle');
$('.item-108 > a').attr('data-toggle', 'dropdown');
$('.item-108 > a').append('<b class="caret"></b>');
$('.item-108 > ul').addClass('dropdown-menu');
});
})(jQuery);
</script>

any ideas?
