Logo appears on home page, but is broken on all others.

Post by rahilhasnani » Thu Jul 05, 2018 7:20 pm

I uploaded my logo here in the Template Shaper Helix 3 template in the menu here:

Image

And it will appear on the home page, but every other page in the template, it is a broken image like this:

Image

I checked in the element explorer in firefox, and it seems like on the home page, it is able to access the logo in the folder

Code: Select all

/images/logo.jpg
but when I click on a menu item, say I click "About Us"

I notice in the element explorer, it's still looking for

Code: Select all

/images/logo.jpg
, when it should be looking for

Code: Select all

../images/logo.jpg
(So basically, it's looking for joomla.com/aboutus/images/logo.jpg instead of joomla.com/images/logo.jpg)

If that makes sense?

I'm not sure if this is being caused by an override, is it possible to completely delete all of my overrides? I think when I googled, they told me to delete the files in the folder HTML > Joomla > Layouts > HTML but I wanted to check here if that was ok to do?

Image

TLDR: Can I delete this folder to undo all of my overrides?
And can anybody think of any reason why my logo isn't showing up on all of my pages except the home page?

If the image address on the home page works, the same address normally works on all pages. If it does not work, something weird is interfering with the base URL of the site.

You have not by any chance installed some trial extension or beta versions?

Deleting overrides will not make a difference to the icon because it is rendered by the template.

Helix is a free template. I already installed twice, its giving the same problem. Its not a trial or beta version.

Do you think it has something to do with how I set up my php database?

Is there anything else you can suggest for me to look into?

It works for the sample provided logo of helix on every page.
But when I use any of my image as a logo it doesn't work except for the home page.

Try renaming the sample logo and then copy your logo into the same folder and use the same file name for your logo.

It worked , thanks.
But I found one more problem now. There is some issues with the images. Its not only with the logo. The home page article image is working when I click the "Home" button. But when I do anything, example, search anything on the search bar, that image breaks when the page refreshes.

Even with the pagebuilder, when I am inserting any image, it shows the broken image.

I tried other template'helix ultimate", it gives the same problem
What do you think is causing the issue?

Suggest you try the Protostar template, to see if the issue is related to your template.

How do you insert the article image?

Please give the address of the image in the HTML code of the page after the attribute 'href', or you can use the element explorer, or just right click the image and get its address.

Your site is on localhost, and, unless you can provide samples of the HTML code, the above methods are the only way you can analyse what is going wrong.
