Edit template - no file viewing

Hi everyone,
I have to try to edit a theme, but the files inside the theme root are not shown. I am attaching a screenshot of the problem. what can it depend on?

Not only a specific file, but entire template. I can't view the file php and html under the file list. Why? if I enter in the css folder, is the same, no file viewing from Joomla backend.

ok, i have update the database, but no change!
I don't know why, before the database version change and also after, I have error on frontend whit template. It's a new error. Is possible FPA-EN.php, or hacking some page? see www.avismedesano.it

Hi, I don't think the site was hacked. But rather I think there is some difference in reading the template in the newer joomla version. No one has any idea what could have happened? I don't want to get back to canceling and redo everything from scratch. I've been there once before and I've gone crazy.
