Japanese hack when google search for web-site

Post by pkonidar » Sun Jul 08, 2018 1:03 pm

Hello
we have the joomla web-site
. When someone searches for it, it shows up with Japanese characters.
The developer company has closed due to economic crisis in Greece without provide a clean copy.
there are two htaccess files in the folder. I deleted the one that I though was the malicious one, but it is regenerated...the index file has code for the htaccess file. I deleted that part but in vain. I placed back the file as it was.
We can not update Joomla snice other web-sites are also on the same server that we own and have access to it. They told us that their functionality will be affected.
Any ideas? I am not that experienced with these issues (beginner, dummy)…..can you assist me?

Your entire website is showing the Japanese characters. So, no wonder, Google is showing the Japanese characters in the search results. Of course, it is hacked.

If you are a beginner, I would suggest getting a professional advise for the cleanup.

Submit your site for a (free first) scan at myjoomla.com to find out what the issues with your site are.

There are links at the top of the this forum which detail the (the only completely reliable) process for cleaning a hacked site.

When was your last pre-hack backup taken?

There are no money for professional help! If we could do that I would have done it.
I wrote several key words and got back nothing....so I can not find something similar....Could someone tell me with simple steps (one by one) what should I do to clean it?
