How to handle Unsecured Image in a Secured Site?

Post by Achnaton » Sat Oct 06, 2018 6:18 pm

Hi i have standard ssl certificate Let´s Encrypt. But in Mozilla Firefox doesnt appear padlock. So I have found page whynopadlock.com and I have run me page throught it. There was result:
An image with an insecure url of "http://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images/104 ... normal.jpg" was loaded on line: 287 of my page/.
This URL will need to be updated to use a secure URL for your padlock to return.
But there is problem. I know any page with this name. Anybody else with this problem? Any idea how to solve it?
Thx for help.

Reason: Per the Forum Rule "Do not use a URL as a thread title.", changed the Subject from "pbs.twimg.com" which is a URL to reflect the content of the post. Please do not repeat this in the future.

It's an image hosted on Twitter. Do you have any social extensions or embedded Twitter posts?

I don't see the screenshot but it's normal if your site loads 3rd party sources such as images and JavaScript without SSL from the websites (if the path is with HTTP instead of HTTPS). In this way, your site is still serving SSL but the other sources don't thus a part of the content is insecure (without SSL).
