Background colour in form page (Fabrik form, front-end)

Postby Xterius » Sun Mar 19, 2017 10:54 am

Hi!

Apologies if this is the wrong section of the board.

I'm building a very simple website for my mothers new company, it will only have a couple of pages, and a contact us- type page.

I tried to use the form that was avaliable with my joomla installation, but found that i wanted a little difference form.

The form i've now got, was easy to make with the Fabrik plug-in, and works exactly have i wanted it.

However.

I cannot figurate how to enclose it in a joomla article, which i tried and failed at. However, it shows up and works fine on its own. (Opens via menu)

Here comes the problem. My mother wants a background picture on the site, with the articles themselves having a white, floating background. This all works fine until the fabrik form is loaded.

All the labels, spaces and the entire "component" page is transparent, so the site background image shines through.

With the exception of the field with the send-button, which is nice and white.

I'm not good with CSS, in my day, before HTML5 etc, i used to be proficient in html and php, but thats more than 13 years ago, so i'm badically a newbie today with all the advancements!

Is there an easy way to show the fabrik form page, front-end, with a background colour like the articles themselves has?

I've tried the custom_css.php filesin the templates that come with fabrik, searched the web for days, but to no avail:)

Please advice!

You need to have the Fabrik content plugin installed and enabled...

Then the syntax for the plugin (which you insert in the article of your choosing) is documented here.

And would look something like this in your editor:

Code: Select all

<p>Some Content (text and Images)</p>
{fabrik view=form id=1}
<p>Other Content (text and Images)</p>

You must insert your form's id into the above.
Don't HACK the Joomla! core. Extend and Override.
Stay ON the update path.

Use Firebug to inspect. https://docs.joomla.org/Web_page_diagnostic_tools

Code: Select all

.fabrikForm {background-color: white;}
