uninstalled imagerecycle Article pics now large

I had Imagerecycle installed and felt I did not need it so uninstalled that plugin.
I now find that the front page image on my article is too big.
I have save the image to size 250x188 and uploaded via the 'into' image in in articles in the backend.
I have also checked this image using my FTP and the image is definitely 250x188
However, when published, the size of the image on the front page is 650x488
I have a feeling it's something to do with Imagerecycle but that is just my guess, and that said, Imagerecycle plugin is uninstalled.
Can anyone offer a suggestion on how to fix this?

What is the URL of your site?

It is not clear which image or images you actually mean. If it is about the slider at the home page, those images are 1147 x 431.

The other images seem to be managed by the paid extension AdsManager, which would have a lot to do how they are rendered.

How does the image from the module end up at the home page of the site? You said "when published", what do you mean by that?

Use Google Chrome to browse to the page where the image appears, right click the image and select 'Copy image address'. Paste the link to a document and you will see where that image is downloaded from.

It is an article I have published. when writing the article in the backend of Joomla, the tab "images and links" is where you can attach an 'intro image' which is what I did. That photo is fast_ferry_1.jpg size 250x188. However, when it appears on the front page in the list of articles, it is size 650x488. I have already right button mouse clicked the image and the address is as it should be:

When you look at the pic using Cute FTP, I went to images/articles and click that picture 'fast_ferry_1.jpg it is the 250x188 pic, I just cant work out why it shows on the front page as 650x488?

And how do you display the article "on the front page in the list of articles"? Does it have a URL? Otherwise it is impossible to know what may have happened.

They articles are displayed on the front page with the standard Joomla module " Modules: Articles - Latest"

I write an article and publish it, it then appears on the front page via this module, it is a standard Joomla module

The image shown in the module in the right sidebar of the home page 250x188 on . According to you, that is "the list of articles" and the location is also "the front page of the site". Where is the problem then?

The picture is uploaded at 250x188 but if you right button mouse click on the front page of my site and save the pic to your desktop, then right button mouse click the picture on the desktop and go properties, you will see it is 650x488

Cannot reproduce this behaviour. It must be a local issue in your workstation.

Thanks for taking to time to reply. The issue is now fixed, I installed 'Image Recycle' and it has fixed the problem.
