Pages only for each user?

Goal: Have picture gallery that shows only for each user. John Doe would see his galleries and Jane Doe would only see her galleries.

I am looking for a general Joomla 3+ solution as it would be nice to be able use this for items other than galleries. I am familiar with hidden menus and menus items to the point of being able to use it for user groups, but not specific users.

Is there a way in Joomla 3+ to accomplish this or am I going to have to find an extension?

Ideally for this particular site it would be great if a "My Galleries" menu item would show up when logged in. Then when a user clicks on it only their galleries would show. Right now we just give them a link to their gallery that we create with DJ MediaTools, this link is in a hidden menu.

Suggestions?
