JCE Issue - Do not see all its buttons / HTML Scriping

Postby jazzking2001 » Tue Feb 13, 2018 7:22 pm

If i use TinyMCE, it shows all of its buttons.
However, when i am using JCE, only a few buttons are showing

----
Another issue is that both Tiny MCE and JCE are both stripping html code
i have looked at a few times for ideas but none have worked

- go to global config and put NO FILTERING on all user groups to see if it worked....did not

The issue with JCE showing few buttons, may have something to do with the editor profile you're using. Refer the below link for information.
https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/sup ... n/profiles

Concerning filtering of some HTML tags (like script and iframe), your super user login should already have "No Filtering".

A plugin such as sourcerer might help to allow entry of such code.
https://extensions.joomla.org/extension ... sourcerer/

The plugin should place a button in the editor's screen (below the main editing window or in the tool bar) so you can easily insert HTML code or PHP, or java-script etc) as you need to.

JCE works well for me, and in fact is a fork of TinyMCE.

Were you using the latest JCE (2.6.26 as of January 2018), and latest Joomla (3.8.5 as at February 2018)

To make TinyMCE accept code, you need to change it's settings.
When you do that (Extensions -> Plugins -> TinyMCE), first choose the Set you want to change.
If you are logged in as Super User, that is probably Set 0.
For that set, switch on "Use Joomla Text Filters".
The fact that an opinion is widely held is no evidence whatsoever that it is not utterly absurd.
