Document management

Post by bluesardine » Thu Nov 15, 2018 11:58 am

Hi Guys

Normally I use eDocman for document management (Have a raised a ticket them to ask this)

My client is a trades contrator, they need to be able to upload documents, photos, certificates etc relating to contract jobs they complete.

For example: Project is a school heating system - System is installed and completed, photos are taken of the system, system is certified and a certificate is generated. All the documentation is to be made available to that client only.

My client wants to have a login area for clients
Each client will have there own login details
Each client will then be able to see documents uploaded for them.

Any ideas what component could be used? Documents management or project management, have been looking in extensions, but bit stumped.

Cheers Pete

If I am not mistaken, I think the OP specifically asked for Joomla component recommendations.

@alejo... Not explicitly...
How much I do love Joomla, doesn't prevent me from using and advertising possible other, maybe even better solutions for the problem.
Joomla is the best web content management system I know, but as a file secure sharing system it is not the best solution.

Ah cheers guys.

Update: Looking into eDocman did not release i can add ID'd to each document. So was able to add a login so registered can see the downloads area, and they have unique ID so they can only see there docs.

So im all good, cheers for help guys :-)
