Can I use Footnotes plugin in Joomla modules?

Post by panh78 » Fri Oct 22, 2021 10:44 am

It "is a content plugin and it can be used with Joomla articles and categories managed by the com_content component."

I made an Articles-Newsflash module and assigned it to one menu item and one Position.
I made a unique category.
I wrote one article and assigned it to the new unique category.
It works. The unique-category-article displays in the desired position on the desired menu item page.

However, the {footnote} tags are displayed midstream in the article text.
In other words, the footnote function is not working properly.

Should I expect the footnote extension to behave properly within a Newsflash article that is called to a unique module?

Footnotes is a content plugin. Modules that use a Prepare Content setting (e.g. the Custom HTML module) can use content plugins. The Newsflash module does not have a Prepare Content setting therefore it cannot use content plugins. See also viewtopic.php?f=715&t=988495
