[solved] Issue with "Portal Mode" for News Show Pro Gk5/Gk4

Post by nyaruko » Sat Apr 06, 2013 8:36 am

Hi, I'm a newby at Joomla Forum, and hoping the member here can help me out, as the membership fee at Gavick is quite hefty, and am not ready to pay 44 Euro for a question.

Now, the problem I am facing is that the "Portal Mode" provided by NSP Gk4/Gk5.
Neither of them work, i.e., do not show any items, and at present, I am using "Normal Mode" to show recent articles in a category, which does function.
I have visited Gavick Forum, hoping that the similar symptoms has occurred somewhere in the past, but it seems no one have faced the same problem.
There was one suggestion that "Use default CSS" in "External File" Tab being "enable", but the default was was set "enable", and this was not the solution.
I have modified the module in different areas, but no avail.

Is there anyone faced the same issue, and found the solution for it?

I am writing down my system info in hope for someone to cast light onto the issue:
PHP: 5.3.21
Web server: Apache/2.2.23
Joomla!: 3.0.3 Stable
Joomla Platform: 12.2.0 Stable
Template: Gantry 4

Solved it myself.
It seems there is compatibility issue with PowerAdmin Extension. Similar symptoms were seen with RokGallery module.

Cheers, everyone. :-)
