Installing Extension - Event Registration Pro Calendar

Postby Scupertron » Fri Aug 11, 2017 1:41 pm

I bought the above extension.

I am unable to transfer it over to joomla.

uploading package file doesn't work apparently due to server upload limits
i am unable to upload via url or install from folder.

I'm sure this is a simple fix i just need some guidance please, obviously i am not code savvy nor a joomla expert. just a man running a small company trying to add some function to his site.

any help appreciated

If you have access to the cPanel provided by your host, you may be able to go to the PHP options and increase the upload limit. The PHP directive is called 'upload_max_filesize'.

If you do not have access to change the limit yourself, talk to your host.

Thank you Toivo, apparently as I'm with 1&1 hosting i do not have access to increase the limit, nor will they do it

Any particular reason why they refuse to increase the limit? Perhaps time to change hosts.

I checked my host server upload settings and upload_max_filesize set at 64M so that appears to be plenty big enough
On the joomla end it says that the upload limit is 2M?

In the Joomla back end go to System - System Information - PHP Information and find the following settings and check the value from the first column, 'Local Value':

post_max_size
upload_max_filesize

Is either of them 2M?

The 2M limit set may be set in a configuration file in the main Joomla folder. Look for the following files and be careful not to change anything else:
.htaccess
php.ini
.user.ini
