How to get background with horizontal "drift/parallax"

Postby Hubert1957 » Mon Dec 11, 2017 9:15 pm

website: www.deijsmannetjes.de

I have a website based on the wt_amara template.

Now I would like to have a background, on all pages, that consists of vertical white and blue stripes. Because that looks a bit dull, I would like the background to slowly move left-to-right (or right-to-left) when the user scrolls down on a page.A kind of horizontal parallax.

There are many background-plugins, but they either create a vertical parallax effect. Or they have horizontally moving slides with effects between them.

Does anyone know a plugin or trick that can help me accomplish this?

Kind regards,

Hubert

As a matter of interest, do you have an example of a website where this effect (or something similar) has been implemented. If we have an example of how it was done elsewhere we might be better positioned to help you with your question.

Hmm ... you're trying to describe (in words) a technique that you've never seen, that probably doesn't exist on another website anywhere else in the world, and you're asking for our help?

You mentioned

You were unable to mention one of them.

I don't know what you're describing. Perhaps someone else has some information that might assist you. Good luck. :)

There are parallax extensions on the JED such as

https://extensions.joomla.org/extension ... -parallax/ (and see the demo https://www.aikoncms.com/demo/aikon-easy-parallax).

https://extensions.joomla.org/extension ... ax-slider/

Sometimes, parallax is a feature of templates, such as these:

https://www.template monster.com/paralla ... templates/

[Oops....I thought the OP was wanting to implement a standard parallax.......re-reading the question would have to concur with @sozzled, and don't know of such a plugin to create an effect. Sounds like a custom development job]
