How to create installer package for component override.

Dear All,

I've created a component over-ride using the MVC structure i.e. all the over-rides are in templates/theme/html folder. I've to give the over-rides files to the client and he doesn't know how to add it in the templates folder. He asked me to create a installer package using which he can just install it like the normal component.

How can i create the installer package when installed using the normal installation method and the files are added to the templates html folder?

Please help.

You cannot, AFAIK - unless you build an update package for the template, containing the new files in the html folder.

Convince your client to give you full access to the back end or give the client detailed instructions how to upload the files to the html folder of the template.
