Searching extension to create login zone

Post by BrandConception » Tue Feb 06, 2018 7:47 pm

Hi,

I'm looking for an extension or a way to create pages only accessible for visitors with a login and a password.
They should be able to create a login and password on the website and access sould be approved (once) by our webmaster.

I want to create a page that only our clients can acces to (a pro page on the company website). This page will contain acces to pricelists, technical files, .... so it should not be accessible by any visitor.

All ideas or suggestions are welcome :D

Thank you for your help!

You are describing Joomla usergroups and access control as they are, out-of-the-box, no third party extensions required:

Hi toivo,

thank you for your answer.

The registration part worked fine, so that's ok.

I just have one problem left, I (try to) explain:

1. I created a new User Group "clients"
2. I created a new Acces Level "clients al"
3. for approved registrations the user are asigned under the group "clients"
4. I made a new Article "client page" with "client al" in the access drop down menu
5. I created a Hidden Menu "acces clients" with a link to the article "client page"
6. I use the Redirect on Login (free version)
6.1 State Redirect-on-Login : Enabled
6.2 Frontend redirection based on Usergroups
6.3 Redirect for usergroup: clients --> menu item "acces clients"

So when the client logs in, he is redirected to the invisible article "client page".
The link to the page is not visible for non loged-in users

But, someone non loged-in who knows the url to that page can see it by using the url.
How to avoid this. I would like to see "sorry, you are not alowed to see content on this page" if the user is not loged in.
Is this possible (I guess it is), and what did I do wrong?

Thank you.
