VoIP or similar with Joomla

Hi,

I would like to connect my Joomla website to a VoIP system. Right now we are using Vonage for the calls and a Joomla website to offer memberships and we would like to connect them somehow so when a call comes in and the callers number is associatetd with a Joomla User we can see this information right away.
Is there a way to implement this?

Or does anybody has another idea what to use to have this kind of functionality? We don't need to continue with Vonage, any other solution or maybe a messenger would be fine.
