Does anyone know if it's possible to upload mp3 files via Joomla's built-in Media Manager, and then add those MP3's into an Article?

Thank you for any help you can give me!

Thanks for the reply. I have already done all of those steps via that same document and I get:
Error
Not a valid image.

So I'm dead in the water until I can figure this out.

I added mp3 to the Legal Extensions (File Types) first but thanks. And the simple mp3 player is no longer being developed...hence my dilemma! :-(

Please tell me if I'm wrong (I haven't added filetypes to Media Manager for ages) but I seem to recall that the filetypes need to be in alphabetical order.

Probably a complete waste of a post but it might help.

First, are you able to upload a mp3 file by the way of media component ?

If yes, did you try allvideos. I use it before and it worked with mp3

No I can't upload mp3's via the media manager which is really want I want, because the client needs to do that. So I want to avoid any FTP that the client would need to do.

Try to uncheck Check MIME Types temporarily and then upload a mp3 file

I take no credit for this! Ryan the JCE Developer figured it out!
Here is the source of the problem: Components -> RSFirewall -> Filewall Configuration -> Active Scanner
