Seeking a Serious Document Management Module

Can anyone in the Joomla community recommend a solid document management extension for the Helix Ultimate framework? I have used both Edocman and Dropfiles for years, and have waited patiently for them to grow up. Both suffer from the same core issue: a general clunkiness in UI/UX design. When I contact the authors, the invariable response is "meh..."

I'm just looking for a clean, effective way to categorize PDFs in a tree structure and click to view. No pop-ups, no giant, mismatched buttons, no descriptions of each file. Just an intelligently designed and configurable document manager. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You probably use a template that is using Bootstrap version 3 or 4, which is not compatible with version 2 embedded in core Joomla. You cannot expect component developers to make exceptions for all types of 3. party templates. However you can ask your template developer to make output overrides for the components in their template, or you can make the overrides yourself.

PS. Bootstrap 2 will be upgraded to version 4 when J4 is released.

The paid DOCman extension was unpublished some while ago from JED at https://extensions.joomla.org/extension ... ds/docman/ but you can access the demo by Joomlatools (no affiliation) at https://www.joomlatools.com/extensions/docman/. It is a solid extension with strong support and my corporate client has been using it for years.
