The code I quoted is from v 3.3 ...
Code from a dodgy extension that has been excluded from JED

This was NOT about self promotion, but a serious question on how to do something.
How can people make an informed comment if they cannot see the code and notes on how it was developed.

So again I ask - how do I add a print button to print JUST the googlemap ...

I have researched the problem further.
Mike Reumer's code in fact called a GoogleMaps function gmapprint().
In the latest GoogleMaps API, this function is no longer included.
The solution is simple, but time consuming. It is to create a new article showing only the map at full width - and a suitable height. For that page one can then suppress almost everything, including the menu, etc.
As this is for Joomla 4, I have also suppressed in Joomla 3 the print button - called "user training" !
This idea is shown at http://tdocplus.co.uk/0a_Empty400/.
