Hello there!

Got a problem, I have Joomla 3.10.8 and I'm getting ready to the Joomla 4 migration... One of the pre-requisites that are a problem is JFusion's extension, I also do not use it anymore (I was using it for a forum hosted somewhere else now), so looked like it was unuseful. But it's a problem, when I unable JFusion authentication plugin I CAN'T login into the administrator site... Usually I should unable that one and enable the Joomla native Authentication plugin, that's what I'm doing but still not working... So I need to enable JFusion again and then I can login. Could you help me? I want to enable the native authentication and unable or delete the jfusion's...

Hey there, thanks for replying! When I disable jfusion so I enable the Joomla authentication plugin I CAN'T log in to the administrator, sometimes shows just nothing and sometimes shows it was not possible connecting to the server... Thank you

Session Path Writable: No

The session path should be writable in the PHP configuration in php.ini. Talk to your host about it.

Session handler: database

Go to Global Configuration - System - Session Settings and change Session Handler from 'Database' to 'PHP'. Login again and check if the login process has improved.

Audit your third part extensions for compatibility with Joomla 4 because some, for example JCK Editor and Mobile Joomla do not have updated versions. Suggest that a copy of the live site is installed first on a localhost site, using for example the Wampserver bundle, as a test environment before the migration.

Hello again! Yesss I changed it to PHP and disable the non supported Joomla 4x.

Ok is not working... I disabled all the jfusions and enable the Joomla Authentication, but then I can't log in, it says "Unable to connect to the server" and sometimes just does not happen anything... I discovered the problem is Authentication Jfusion and Users Jfusion, when both or one of them is disables, then I can't log in....

I can also try to maybe as all the other is ok for Joomla 4, try to migrate and see if it automatically fixes this problem?

Hey, thanks. Ok changed to maximum and, again, disabled jfusion auth and users and then I can't log in and gives me this error:

Still have no idea why if Joomla authentication is enabled I can't disable jfusion and then log in normally

Komento 2.0.9 must be several years old because the latest version of Komento is 4.0.2. Even if the old version may work in PHP 7.4 when error reporting is turned off, it most likely won't in PHP 8.

We know, but the only way to find the root cause is to change the level of error reporting to 'Maximum' in Global Configuration if you can login to the back end, or write enable and edit the file configuration.php and set $error_reporting to 'maximum'.

If PHP in the web server has been configured properly, the error messages would also be written to the PHP error log. According to the FPA results, that is not the case. Get your host to fix the PHP configuration in php.ini.

Turn on the Debug option and it will display the call stack. Configure the plugin System - Debug and set it to 'log almost everything'. You can then do the test and downloaded the log file administrator/logs/everything.php. Post the messages here for advice.

Hey again! Ok I configured everything. Now still with jfusion, I don't know how to uninstall it without having problems with the back-end log in. Regarding to Komento, yes, sorry. I have the new Komento in my laptop, as this site is old, is using other Komento, I will just save the Komento db tables and uninstall it. I will install it in the new Joomla, with his respective saved tables.

Komento 2.0.9 must be several years old because the latest version of Komento is 4.0.2. Even if the old version may work in PHP 7.4 when error reporting is turned off, it most likely won't in PHP 8.

We know, but the only way to find the root cause is to change the level of error reporting to 'Maximum' in Global Configuration if you can login to the back end, or write enable and edit the file configuration.php and set $error_reporting to 'maximum'.

If PHP in the web server has been configured properly, the error messages would also be written to the PHP error log. According to the FPA results, that is not the case. Get your host to fix the PHP configuration in php.ini.

Turn on the Debug option and it will display the call stack. Configure the plugin System - Debug and set it to 'log almost everything'. You can then do the test and downloaded the log file administrator/logs/everything.php. Post the messages here for advice.

Thanks again Toivo! Ok everything is configured, etc. I can access normal as I have jfusion enabled. So I disabled and proceeded to log in, again not working (Joomla auth in enabled). So, in administrator/logs/jcontroller.log.php I get the following:

Hi Toivo, I'll ask the owner's website as I was not the programmer... I think it was not using it. I disabled it before yesterday but there was no difference. The only difference is if jFusion is enabled or disabled/uninstalled. If I remember well, with LDAP disabled was the same, no log in but just no message of "Problem connecting with the server"..... So yes, the problem is just the jFusion. They used it for vbulletin, but we migrated vbulletin to a different hosting instead of having it all together in Joomla. So now jFusion should not be useful, but somehow is affecting on the log in

Hi Toivo, thank you. That was not working too, the only difference is if LDAP is disabled it does not show "was not possible connecting with the server". So it's the form and when I submit page loads to the same form but user and password empty. So I had to enable again jfusion authentication and jfusion users to make possible log in again.

However, everything.php was not appearing yesterday in my directory and now it does.... There's new info and I think it can be good to investigate this problem, I attach it here:
