file cache storage is not supported on this platform

Post by madpato » Fri Jun 23, 2017 4:48 pm

Hello

I am trying to move an existing joomla 3.7.2 from linux to IIS with mysql on windows server 2012 r2. So far everything went fine (sql import, copying files, editing configuration.php) but the index page shows the error of the subject of the post. I can even access the backend and do stuff there. But the frontend is blank with that error.

Searching for the same error i see a lot of posts about permissions on apache, but nothing on IIS. I have full access to all the folders and subfolders for the IIS user and still i get this error.

Any help is appreciated. Regards

Edit: Please move this post to the IIS subforum just now i noticed that. I´m sorry.

Have you corrected the cache and log path in configuration.php?

Yes i did, the only way to got it working is to set write permissions to the "users" user group it guess i will have to look more on to permissions maybe it was not the safest approach, but that put the site back.
