Usecase related to joomla profiles

Post by liaskas » Fri Mar 30, 2018 6:34 am

Hello

We are creating a new website "joomla 3.8.6" and we are asked to do the following:

User registers (creates profile) as a company. We call it "MASTER profile".
This company needs more than one profiles for the company's departments. Let's call these profiles "SUB profiles".

Is there a way to make the "MASTER profile" have frontend access to the "SUB profiles", BUT NOT the oposite?

Example:

Profile of Company-A. The boss has the login credentials to login to it.
Profile of Company-A Tech department. The person from the tech deparment has the login credentials to login to it.
Profile of Company-A Sales department. The person from the sales deparment has the login credentials to login to it.

Is there a way to have a module that will show ONLY to the Company-A profile (module depenting on joomla user group), that will link to specified profiles, without needing to login?

I have seen something similar to some JED demos that mention...
login as user 1
login as user 2
or
login to the backend
etc.

When "login as user 1" is clicked, you get transfered to the "user 1" profile, and you are already logged in as "user 1".

Is this a plug-in, module, component that we can find and use?

Is this something custom?

Can someone point us to the right direction?

Than you in advance!
