User Group Permission

Post by sauk » Sun Jun 17, 2018 4:45 pm

Hi,

I am new to Joomla. I have problem with a user who is under "SELLER" SUB-group. The user is not able to login.

I suspect that the problems are with the user group permissions. Please see the screenshot (https://snag.gy/gGKz4k.jpg ) and advise how to enable Site Login?

Thanks

Set the Parent of the User Group as 'Registered'.

The parent is 'Registered'. Please see the screenshot https://snag.gy/209Ncf.jpg and the group Registered also has the same issue. I think if I am able to alter the permissions, I should be done.

Thanks

Global configuration >>> Permissions tab ... Select 'Registered ... Allow site login and save. If no Avail check settings on any 3rd party extension that deal with users.

Hi,

Did that as well. It says that it is not allowed (locked) https://snag.gy/dPlXKA.jpg . Where do I check these 3rd party extensions? Could it be a case where the ability to login / view & edit the content has been turned off on purpose?

Thanks

I can replicate that by setting 'Public' Denied. The default for 'Public' is 'Not Set' (every permission for 'Public' is 'Not Set'). Check that.

Hi,

I have checked under Extensions -> Modules & Extensions -> Plugins and all the access levels are set to Public.

Is there somewhere else also that I need to check? Could it be possible that some Module / Plugin is disabled or removed that might be causing a problem?

Thanks for your time and help.

Check Global config >>> Permissions ... Public ... make sure everything is "Not Set'".
