Broken Groups <> Viewing Access Levels

Post by mrgreg » Sat Jun 30, 2018 6:57 pm

I have a head scratcher with AC(hel)L.

Under the following structures, Users A, B, C, and D All see the same Menus (everything less Group E and SU).
User E and SU function properly.

I feel as though I have tried everything to sort it out and might just have some crossed wires under the hood.

Ideas anybody?

Groups
----------
Public
- Guest
- Registered
| - Group A
| - Group B
| - Group C
| - Group D
| - Group E
- Super User

Viewing Access Levels
-------------------------------
Group A > Group A
Group B > Group A, Group B
Group C > Group A, Group B, Group C
Group D > Group A, Group B, Group C, Group D
Group E > Group E

Users
---------
User > Group A
User > Group B
User > Group C
User > Group D
User > Group E
User > Group SU

You can use the inheritance of groups:

Public
- Guest
- Registered
| - Group A
-| - Group B
--| - Group C
---| - Group D
| - Group E
- Super User

That is Group B is a child of Group A, C a child of B and D a child of C. Group D will inherit from A-C. The access Levels only need on member.

Thank you Sir!
That is exactly what I did and was just getting to post my fix.

I also had to make these changes:
Viewing Access Levels
-------------------------------
Group A > Group A
Group B > Group B
Group C > Group C
Group D > Group D
Group E > Group E
