Missing Author Editor and Publisher Topic is solved

I seem to be missing Author Editor and Publisher access levels, I'm trying to allow users to submit articles but it seems like a need to make them an Author. Is there any way to create a new access level?

Users >>> Groups >>> new
Create Author with Registered as Parent
Create Editor with Author as Parent
Create Publisher with Editor as Parent

Global config ... Permissions (tab)
Author change Create and Edit Own to Allowed (leave everything else Inherited)
Editor change Edit to Allowed (leave everything else Inherited)
Publisher change Edit State to Allowed (leave everything else Inherited)


If you wanted instead of globally creating Author, Editor and publisher you could change the Permissions in Content >>> Articles ... Permissions. In which case you could call the groups 'Article Author', 'Article Editor' and 'Article Publisher'.

I can now create an article, but I can't actually write anything in it. I can create an article with a title, but not write any article body. I'm using the standard article submission for this.

Try as Super Admin in front and back. Can you write anything then?

Yes, as super admin I can write in both front and back

Then either you have not set the Permissions correctly for the new user groups or something is broke in your Joomla
