Editor Group

I would like to create and editor group just with permission to edit the website, that is add articles or add articles in k2 or add images. I want that theses users can only edit articles in some categories. how can i do that?

till the moment, i just create a group called "editor" under administrator group. the problem is that the user can do everything so i hve to disable all the components. is there an easy way to disable all the components except 2 or 3 components?

Make the group a child of Registered. That way it will not pick up excessive permissions.

Give the group add permission in the category.

And for the catgories? How can i restrict them?

You don't restrict. Go to the category in category manager and give permission in that category.
