I need to give a few users very limited access to the admin interface - so they can access 1 component only.

I'm getting myself in a right muddle with the viewing access level and user groups, and so far can't get this working!

Is there a tutorial or article somewhere explaining this, or can someone explain the steps?

There are probably many other tutorials, but best way is to just search the web

There's also a useful extension that gives a visual view of permissions that might be an advantage.

In the meantime I’ve got the access that I need working now…as always a silly mis-configuration by me was causing the problem!
