No error notice at user registration form when entering invalid / already registered e-mail address on user registration

Post by adams1 » Tue Apr 10, 2018 1:01 pm

Hi! Maybe here it will be answered: user gets no error message or notice at user registration form when entering invalid* or already registered e-mail address during registration, just reloads the page. (Though the user can not register, which is good.)
I have 3 additional required fields (phone, address and tax number) which is set at the user:fields.

Joomla 3.8.6 (and also 3.8.5)

*not always. Sometimes the system thinks for an email address is valid though does not exist indeed and in this case sends the "green" message.

Maybe this is not a bug, but it would be good to alert the user in these cases too.

Thank you!

I have also Joomla 3.8.6 and i get an Error message if a Username or e-Mail is already registered.
It could be that you template is messing up something. Try the default template.
