JSON search results

I run 2 sites, one of them uses Joomla 3.8.10 and the other one has been recently updated to 3.9.1
I found that /component/search/?tmpl=raw&type=json&ordering=&searchphrase=all&searchword=test returns json formatted data with the older one but a simple html with the new one.
Anything changed with this whith the updates? How could I receive json data for search results?

Is it possible this was achieved through template overrides on the old site? Check the folder for the template you are using and look for the /html/com_search folder there to see if there's an override for /search/default_results.php

Yep, sorry, false alarm. I found the override just when I sent the question. I'll contact the template developers.
