Gmail HTML content problem

Hello,

I am using joomla mailer to send emails to site users.
I have set up mailer attribute isHTML=true
Unfortunately, when I open the a test mail on browser from gmail I see the html printed for example I see in the test mail something like
<strong>Hello</strong>

instead of
Hello

Is any other configuration on the mailer or on my server that I have to do so as I can send the mails in html format and render correctly?

What do you mean "attribute"? Post your sample code.
