Media upload problem v3.9.8
Since updating to 3.9.8 I have a problem uploading multiple photos to media sub directories. The first batch uploads correctly, but any subsequent uploads to the same sub directory one photo goes to the sub directory and the rest default to the media root directory.
After disconnecting and reconnecting again as admin the first batch loads ok, thereafter the problem repeats
Same problem on two different sites that I administer.
Anyone else seen this ?

Login back end as adminstrator
Select content media
Create sub dir "mysub"
Select dir "mysub" click upload, choose say 5 photos - upload (all ok so far)
Select upload again (same sub dir) choose another 5 photos - upload. This time they upload to the root dir.

Re: Media upload problem v3.9.8
Correction : the sub dir that has given trouble is second layer sub dir eg /subdirs/mysub
Havent had time to check if that makes a difference

Re: Media upload problem v3.9.8
So you have
/images/anotherfolder
And you are creating '/mysub' in /images or /anotherfolder?
How are you creating /anotherfolder in /images?
When you have worked out your folder structure please give the exact instructions to follow (including how you created '/anotherfolder

I believe this is a known issue, see https://issues.joomla.org/tracker/joomla-cms/25192.
Might be Firefox related...

The fact that an opinion is widely held is no evidence whatsoever that it is not utterly absurd.

Yes, I've just looked at the thread 25192 mentioned above and it describes exactly what I've found. Do I need to continue with this thread or will this get picked up elsewhere ?

You could add a comment in the tracker?

Re: Media upload problem v3.9.8
The fact that this is in the Issue Tracker means that it is picked up elsewhere.
However, please read the whole discussion - it appears to be a Firefox issue, not a Joomla issue.
Do you use Firefox? If so, have you tested in another browser?

Re: Media upload problem v3.9.8
There has been precedence for Joomla core being fixed to suit a browser. The ordering of the email password fields during install. FF uses the field above the password field as the username field. The core files were altered so the email field was above the password field was the email address. FF then remembered the correct combination for login.
But don't hold your breath because the majority of the time the tracker is closed as 'not Joomla core'. You could add to the thread in the tracker ... that might help get it fixed.
