Page Heading Is Now Showing Page Title Instead

Page Heading Is Now Showing Page Title Instead

Hi. I hope this is the right place to post this. I noticed after updating to Joomla 3.9.14 that menu items that have Show Page Heading set to Yes are now displaying the text from the page title instead of the Page Heading. Can anyone confirm and/or provide a fix?

That is not normal (see https://docs.joomla.org/Special:MyLangu ... ge_Display). Someone must have changed it. This change did not occur because of updating to J! 3.9.14 (none of my websites were affected like this). You can change the global setting from "yes" to "no" at Menus: Options.

I cannot confirm if the setting Show Page Heading = Yes does not work the way you want it to. AFAIK, Show Page Heading affects what is displayed in the browser tab and should not affect what is displayed on the actual web page.
