Problem with Javascript

Ich habe auf meinem neuen HP Laptop mit Windows 8 64 bit Betriebssystem xampp installiert und darauf joomla 3.11 installiert. Nachdem ich verschiedene Berichte, Fotos und Menüs eingetragen habe, stellten sich Fehler ein. Captcha, das ich aktiviert habe, wird nicht angezeigt. Flaggen für die Sprachauswahl fehlen.
Ich arbeite mit dem Browser Opera/9.(0 (Windows NT6.2 WOW64) Presto/2.12.388 Version12.15.
Javascript ist aktiviert, es erscheint aber immer die Meldung: Javascript void.
Kann mir jemand helfen? Ich vermute, mein Problem liegt bei Javascript.
