Switch articles to and from 'featured' with date Topic is solved

I'm not sure if this is the right place for a feature request, but it would be great to be able to make articles featured/unfeatured by using a date field in the same way that articles can be published and unpublished.

For example, a music society I am working with has a list of all the concerts for the current season in a sidebar on the home page. The main component area is a featured articles blog showing just one full article which contains the next concert's details. However, at the moment, it means that some has to remember after each concert to switch off the featured option for the old concert and switch it on for the next one.

Thanks, phamtungpth. That seems to do what I want, but I'm trying to avoid having to pay for any extras as my income from website design is tiny.
