It looks like these things are not available (at least as far as I have tested J! 4.0 Beta 7 is concerned).

I don't know. I looked on the Issue Tracker and I cannot find any issues that relate to the question.

We will all know how important this question is when we see (a) someone from the J! 4 development team reply on this forum, or (b) someone raises the matter on GitHub. We will also know how much interest there is within the J! community for keeping the print and email buttons in J! 4 when we see the replies to your question on this forum.

I personally don't care too much about printing or emailing articles to other people by using "buttons" generated by J! (because this functionality is already included within the browser) but, I guess, that's not the point. The point is that these features (that existed in all versions of J! before now) don't appear to be available in J! 4 and it would be "nice" to get some answers.

Good question. :)

Thanks from your answer Brian
The option to email a link to a friend and to print an article were outdated when joomla 1.0 was launched - there are far better ways to share content etc.
When you say “ there are far better ways to share content”

I guess you mean using plugins ?

@Chacapamac: plugins, possibly, may provide the mechanism. As I wrote before: "[printing and email link or page to a friend] functionality is already included within the browser." The point, however, is that these facilities are not included as a standard feature of J! 4 and that decision was taken a couple of years ago.
