Moving servers Topic is solved

Good morning,

I'm starting to develop a site on launch.joomla.org that I plan on moving to either my private server or a more traditional shared server environment in the future.

My question is will the joomla extension that packages everything up for moving (the name of the mod escapes me currently) work on the launch subdomain?

Do you mean Akeeba Backup? It should work all right. Try the free version first. The Pro version allows you to save the backup file in one of the cloud services, if required.
